MEMBER’S CHOICE® Mechanical Repair Coverage can help deflect some risk of costly future, covered repairs keeping your vehicle running extra miles and extra years.
As vehicle owners, there is standard wear and tear repair work we should have done to maintain and prolong the life of our cars. But what happens if something major goes wrong, like the transmission, engine, or electrical system? A standard auto insurance policy doesn’t cover the cost of repairs. Having Mechanical Repair Coverage could help deflect some risk of costly repairs, by helping to cover the expense. Like an insurance policy, there are different coverage levels and deductibles to choose from, making it easier to fit into your budget. Some other benefits typically included in this coverage are rental reimbursements, and emergency roadside assistance, plus it’s transferable if you sell your vehicle privately. Before deciding, consider all options. Does your car already come with a warranty? If not, could you afford to pay out-of-pocket if your car has a major mechanical defect?

Substitute Transportation Reimbursement
Up to $50 per day for a maximum of 10 days, available on the first day of a covered repair. Rideshare options are now available in addition to traditional Rental Car options. *Not available to residents of CA.
24-Hour emergency roadside assistance
Up to $100 per use. Includes towing, battery jumpstart, fluid delivery, flat tire assistance, and lock-out service.
Travel Expense Reimbursement
Up to $200 per day 1-5 days for food, lodging, and rental when a breakdown occurs more than 100 miles from home. (Not available to NY residents.)
Transferable
To increase resale value. Only if sold privately. Subject to a transfer fee.
60 Day Trial Offer
Receive a full refund for an unused agreement within the first 60 days or a pro-rated refund thereafter less an administrative fee.
No out of pocket expense at the time of mechanical repair
(Except for any deductible and any repairs not covered by the policy)–the covered repair is paid directly to the authorized repair facility.
